How billing works

Prices and charges are in US dollars. The payment method is a card, loaded in the last step of the first purchase, without leaving the page. If the bank asks to verify the payment, it happens right there.

The card is saved and charged on each renewal. You can change it in Billing, with Update, without leaving the page.

Each charge for the plan (the subscription, the seats you add and the cycle change) has its invoice, with the billing details you loaded (legal name and address, and the tax ID if you added it). The invoices are in Billing → Invoices, with View to open them and download the PDF. Credit purchases and reloads don’t generate an invoice yet.

The cycle is chosen on the first purchase, with the discount in view: Monthly or Yearly (two months free). Later you can change it in Billing: moving to yearly applies right away: you’re charged the full year now, minus what you didn’t use of the paid month, and from that day the plan renews every year. Moving to monthly takes effect at the renewal.

With the pencil next to Seats you change the number:

  • Adding seats charges your card now for the prorated difference until the renewal.
  • Removing seats applies from the next charge: what’s already paid isn’t refunded.

There can’t be fewer seats than members, or more people on Premium than Premium seats bought.

If you’re on a trial, the first purchase charges right away and ends the trial. The plan turns on once the money is charged.

If the card declines a renewal, the plan shows Payment pending and the charge is retried for 10 days, while the workspace keeps working. To fix it, change the card in Billing (If the workspace is suspended).

In Billing, Cancel asks for a confirmation. The workspace keeps working until the end of the paid period, and until then Resume plan undoes the cancellation. Then it’s suspended, and 30 days later it’s deleted with its data.
